We have been working hard to improve our gym space recently. We have added new equipment, a recovery room, cameras, and we are opening up our gym for 24/7 access. Our goal is to continue to provide a quality CrossFit experience and allow our members to have equal access to all that we have to offer, and we know that this will be a great new addition to our offerings.
Therefore, we have decided to include 24/7 access and recovery room access in all of our adult membership packages beginning November 1, 2024!
RECOVERY ROOM
We have a working sauna, cold plunge, and recovery boots available.
Studies have shown many health benefits for using a sauna and/or cold plunge and/or recovery boots after workouts, such as increased blood circulation, faster muscle repair and recovery, improved immune and cardiovascular health, as well as relaxation and stress reduction.
Speaking to your doctor before using is recommended. Signing the waiver before use is required.
GUIDELINES FOR USE
Here are the guidelines for using the recovery room:
Make sure you have signed our waiver for using the sauna and/or cold plunge.
Please shower before use!
Bring your own towels to wipe yourself down afterwards.
Please do not touch the thermometers and/or add anything to our cold plunge tub.
No food or drinks are allowed in the recovery area.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please ask a staff member before messing with our equipment.
Please wipe down any water on the tile floor once you get out!
Please consult your physician if you are in doubt regarding your ability to use the sauna or cold tub for health reasons.
The use of drugs, medication, or alcohol prior to or during the sauna/cold session may lead to dizziness or unconsciousness.
Guests using any medications must consult a physician or pharmacist prior to use of the sauna/cold tub.
No one under the age of 18 is permitted.
Discontinue the use of the sauna/cold tub if you feel light-headed, dizzy, heat exhausted, or hypothermic.
It is recommended that you start SLOWLY. For example, 5 minutes at a time is recommended to start for the first 3 days in the sauna, then 10 minutes for 3 days, etc. For the cold plunge, it is recommended to start with no more than 2 minutes on your first day, and add a minute 3-5 days after that.
Sauna sessions should not exceed 25 minutes and temperatures must stay below 185 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cold tub sessions should be limited to no more than 15 minutes and temperatures must stay above 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Pregnant women should consult their physician prior to use of the sauna/cold tub. Excessive body temperatures have a potential for causing fetal damage during the early days of pregnancy.
Please help us maintain these amenities by treating them with care so that we can all enjoy them for years to come.
**Directions for use will be posted outside the sauna and cold plunge.
***Also, at this time, it is first come, first serve. The sauna fits 4 people, and the cold plunge holds one person at a time. Please be considerate of others when using! :)
